She was a classroom teacher in elementary schools for sixteen years in the US Virgin Islands, Guatemala, and Asheville, NC.
Alicia’s sessions with students blend coaching in executive functioning, academic, and life skills. The work is grounded in three pillars: conscious, connected and comprehensive learning. She believes that in order for students to succeed they need to practice conscious awareness, connection to self and others, and a holistic approach to learning and academic/ social-emotional development. One of Alicia’s main areas of interest is compassionate communication and effective language for teachers and parents. She is excited to bring this into her work with children and families. She leans on her love of nature, music, and creativity in designing lessons that help children connect to their inner gifts and wisdom.
